like signin in to Flickr, searched for a photograph, blog this and it didn't work from there on. Coming up with malformed message. I did try copy and paste, no luck. Finally I tried 'add image'(above), no success.

Persevere with this one - you don't need a Flickr account but that may be an easier way to put photos on your blog.
Otherwise, select your image, copy its URL, create a post in your blog and try Add Image again. Help is at hand from the team at PLS - just ring or email - or ask one of your colleagues who may also be doing the program.
